Message from the Headmistress

The Royal School is a small, friendly school for around 200 girls from 3 to 16 years set in a modern, safe and spacious campus conveniently located in the heart of Hampstead.

Founded by Queen Victoria in 1855, the School today enjoys royal patronage from HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.  It provides an exciting, dynamic and vibrant education supported by a full range of opportunities and extra-curricular activities.

With the benefits of a girls' only education, each pupil can achieve her full potential academically, emotionally, creatively and physically whilst building friendships that will last a lifetime.

The School also welcomes boarders from London, the UK and overseas as well as providing flexible boarding and superb pastoral care for busy parents locally.

Do contact the Registrar to arrange an informal visit and experience the difference that a Royal School Hampstead education can make.

The Headmistress of the Nursery School, Junior School, Senior School and 6th Form of The Royal School Hampstead, Jo Ebner-Landy
